Elliot Lake Research Field Station of Laurentian University

Elliot Lake was founded on the uranium mining industry.  Since the closure of the mines in the region, the Analytical Laboratory has been instrumental in the decommissioning monitoring.

The Analytical Laboratory uses:

to measure radioactivity in ²²⁶Ra, ²¹⁰Po, ²¹⁰PB, ²³²Th, ²³⁰Th, ²²⁸Th, Th(T), ²³⁵U, Gross Alpha and Beta.
